One opt-out should mean all opt-outs.
Global Consent Ledger is a developing solution to help organizations track consent and propagate consumer opt-outs across every brand, line of business, and outbound channel.
The problem
- Consumers opt out in one place… but still get contacted elsewhere in the same organization.
- Opt-out signals live in scattered CRMs, dialers, texting platforms, and business-unit-specific systems.
- Compliance teams can’t prove propagation end-to-end — especially across vendors.
What changed (FCC)
The FCC’s rules make the intent clear: an opt-out request applies broadly — not just to the specific number, campaign, or business unit that received it.
Specifically: 47 C.F.R. § 64.1200(a)(10) — “a consumer’s opt-out request… must apply to all future robocalls and robotexts from that seller.”
